- Art in Jumpgate Evolution is bright and alive. The decision was made early on to err on the side of entertainment vs realism when designing the look and feel of the universe.

- Hubble Telescope imagery
- The universe does not often look as vibrant as Hubble would lead us to believe but for the sake of entertainment, perhaps it should.

- You will often see screenshot footage of films ranging from Star Wars to comic illustrations of "Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow" mixed in with actual game footage.
